Our Water Scott scarf is inspired by the famous 19th century Scottish novelist, who was instrumental in popularising tweed and tartan as the cornerstones of Scottish fashion. He adopted the black-and-white check or plaid, traditionally worn by the Scottish Borders shepherds, as his own Scott estate tweed. This classic design evolved into the houndstooth or dogtooth check, and its combination of elegance and bold contrasts makes it a perennial favourite on the world’s catwalks.
