Harris Tweed is woven from pure wool and hand woven by the island weavers on the western isle of Harris and Lewis, using traditional methods and protected by an Act of Parliament so it cannot be made elsewhere. Unusually the wool is dyed before being spun so each thread contains a multitude of colours producing a cloth of great depth and complexity.

The tweed provides optimum protection against the cold, wind and rain whilst the sumptuously soft cashmere side is worn next to the skin for exceptional comfort and warmth.
